National Policy for Nautical Archaeology—initial proposals for the United Kingdom

This document arose out of discussions between Council for British Archaeology (Committee for Nautical Archaeology) and the Nautical Archaeology Society in the summer of 1987. Officials of the Nutional Maritime Museum were brought into the discussions in the autumn, as was the Institute of Field Archaeologists (Maritime Affairs Group). The working group wish to continue the discussion among a wider range of opinion and welcome comment via: Mr R.
