He studied at the University of Washington (Seattle) with the late W. Stull Holt. A former Rockefeller Foundation fellow, he is author of The Inquiry: American Prep-arationsfor Peace, 1917–1919;(1963). He has been active in SHAFR from its inception and was influential in the undertaking that led to the recently published Guide to American Foreign Relations Since 1700. |
