河南省文物考古研究所建所五十周年回眸

Review of the 50 - year Course of the Henan Provincial Institute of Cultural Relics and Archaeology

Henan Provincial Institute of Cultural Relics and Archaeology,former Henan Provincial Cultural Relics Working Team,was established in June 1952 and the past 50 years saw the development of the Institute with hard work and great achievement.Now the Institute owns 10 research and administrative branches and 10 outposts all over Henan province with a total number of 105 researchers and administrators in the Institute.A large number of excavations and surveys have been carried out since 1952 and more than 60 archaeological reports,books and more than 1000 brief reports and papers have been published by the Institute and thus greatly improved the studies such as the origins of civilization,the Xia and Shang culture,ancient pottery and porcelain and metallurgy ect. of ancient China.
