论辛亥革命前刘师培的新史学

A study on shih-pei Liu's new history before the Chinese Revolution of 1911

This thesis introduces Liu shih-pei's contributions to the evolution process of the Historiology in the late Ch'ing period. He believed in the reform of "Hsiao-hsueh"and created a new style of" I-zi-ch'uan-shin" (which later became the origin of Wang kuo-wei's"Erh-ch'ung cheng-chu-fa") .Also he dedicated himself to the construction of"Min-shih"in which the people are the focused party.His achievements not only reflect the early contents of modem Historiology of the kte Ch'ing period, but also prove that the mentality of historians of that period has already undergone some fundamental changes. Hence, China's traditional Historiology and modem Historiology have been divided since then.
