1953-1954年江苏基层普选中选举权审查的偏向与纠正

The Bias and Correction of the Review of Electoral Rights in the Grass-root General Election in Jiangsu Province from 1953 to 1954

From 1953 to 1954,the first national general election was an important prerequisite for the establishment of the People's Congress System.As a epitome of the national general election,the grass-root general election in Jiangsu is an important practice of the people's democratic system.In the pilot stage,there was a left-leaning bias in the review of the right to vote in the grass-root general election in Jiangsu.In this regard,the election organizations at and above the county and city levels launched targeted policy improvement and correction,and finally successfully completed the general election.Jiangsu's strict examination of the right to vote at the grass-root level has not only realized the largest democratic election among the people,demonstrated the determination and ability of the Party and the government to implement democratic elections,but also further enhanced the people's democratic consciousness and promoted the construction of democratic politics at the grass-root level,which is of great historical significance.
