The Associated thinking of Metaphor On the Non-verbal Behavior in Cross-cultural Communication

Metaphor exists in our daily life and work, so does the metaphors in non - verbal communication, they exist everywhere. We can analyze them from various aspects of socialinguistics,folklore science,psychology of linguistics,socialpragmatics,congnitive pragmatics and also non -verbal cross - cuhural communication in order that we are able to enhance our practical competence of English. This essay will probe and research in three perspectives： 1. Metaphor research on non -verbal communication 2. Metaphor research of body gestures or body distance on non - verbal communication 3. Metaphor research of marked words function and pragmatic phenomenon in cross - cultural non - verbal communi- cation.
