An Analysis of Teacher Talk in Senior Middle School

Teacher talk is the special language teacher use in classroom. However, for many years, teacher talk hasn＇t been paid much attention and even has been ignored for a long time. Especially, in ESL environment, teacher talk doesn＇t function very well. By using teacher talk, teachers can plan activities de- signed to facilitate learners＇ acquisition and the use of the target language.
