| Abstract: | The subject of the following paper is how to solve the problem of determining the origin of a given culture when cultures preceding it are known. To achieve this goal a concrete example is analysed: determing the origin of Unetice culture. Then the main notions of archaeology are defined: type, assemblage, and archaeological culture, and a trial of one possible generalization of the procedure is presented. |
