Traditional views argued that the Longquan official kiln had reached its peak in Song and Yuang dynasties, and gradual declined after Ming dynasty. With the excavation of Fengdongyan kiln sites, the porcelain of Longquan kiln was known by the academic field. At the same time, the same porcelain was unearthed from Maojiawan in Beijing, and that proved these porcelain were used in the imperial palace.
