Preliminary Study on the Periodization of Yangshao Remains in Shuibei Site

Based on the complex stratum of the Shuibei site,the auther classified the unit according to the cluster of cultural remains,artifacts types,and the pottery assemblages.The Shuibei site is thus divided into two periods and four phases.The study shows that the Shuibei site shared similarities with other sites of the Yangshao Culture in the Guanzhong region.The pottery types found in Shuibei indicate strong culture exchanges among contemporary sites in this region.
