| Institution: | Editor of The Documentary History of the Supreme Court of the United States, 1789-1800, four volumes of which have been published to date. From 1983 to 1987 she was Visiting Professor of Law at Georgetown University Law Center and is the author or editor of a variety of works in American legal and constitutional history, including Truman and the Steel Seizure Case: The Limits of Presidential Power (1977) and Origins of the Federal Judiciary: Essays on the Judiciary Act of 1789 (1992). She is also a member of the Society's Board of Editors. |
