A Discussion on the Quasi - War between the United States and France 1797 - 1800

In the late 18th century, the United States came into conflict with Britain and France for maritime rights and geopolitical security. The United States made compromise with Britain by Jay Treaty, which brought peace to both sides for ten years. However, Jay Treaty also caused tension between the United States and France, and thus the two countries walked from the alliance to the quasi-war. In the end, the Franco-American crisis got a peaceful resolution. The quasi-war had great influence on American early interior and foreign policy.
