New corystosperm ovulate fructifications from the Middle Triassic of eastern Australia

Abstract:The genus Umkomasia Thomas is emended to include the corystosperm ovulate inflorescent genera Pilophorosperma Thomas and Karibacarpon Lacey. Three new species of large inflorescences are described and illustrated: Umkomasia polycarpa sp. nov. from the Esk Formation of Queensland and U. distans sp. nov. and U. sessilis sp. nov. from the Basin Creek Formation of New South Wales.
