皮锡瑞《经学历史》并非经学史著作

Pi Xi-rui's Jingxue Lishi was not a Book on the History of Confucius Classics

In Pi Xirui's famous book"Jingxue Lishi",there were ten eras of Confucius Classics,which has been regar- ded as the ten stages of the history of Confucius Classics.As a result,this book has been nominated as the first work discussing the history of Confucius Classics.However,this article,with careful studies of the text,indicates that the author's demonstrations based on ten eras of Confucius Classics were not to divide the stages of the history of Confu- cius Classics and make an evaluation on the whole,but to declare his attitudes to Confucius Classics and make sugges- tions on the education of Confucius Classics.In conclusion,Pi's"J ingxue Lishi"was a work stating his own opinions by dint of the history of Confucius Classics rather than a book discussing the history of Confucius Classics.
