新中国文物保护工作50年

新中国成立至今已经 50多年了 ,文物保护工作取得了旧中国无法比拟的巨大成就。作为一个文明古国 ,我国保存在地上地下的文化遗存极为丰富 ,建国初期的文物工作重点主要是颁布了一系列保护性的政策、法令 ,并加紧培养专业技术人员 ,以便在全国基本建设过程中做好文物保护工作。“文化大革命”时期 ,许多珍贵文物遭到破坏 ,文物保护工作经历了最大的一次曲折 ,但在周总理的关怀和广大文物工作者的努力下 ,绝大多数全国重点文物保护单位都被较好地保存下来。十一届三中全会以后 ,特别是《中华人民共和国文物保护法》颁布以来 ,文物保护工作进入了一个新的历史阶段并取得了显著的成绩 ,与此同时也出现了一些值得注意的问题

Five Decades of Cultural Relics Protection in the New China

In the first five decades of the New China,cultural relics protection work achieved unprecedented successes.In the early period after the founding of the PRC cultural relics protection work focused on a series of policies and decrees,and on training professionals in the field. During the Cultural Revolution many precious relics were destroyed,and relics protection work experienced its worst ever travails.But with Premier Zhou's support and the efforts of the broad numbers of cultural relics workers,most of China's key relics were fairly well preserved.Since the Third Plenum,and especially since the promulgation of the Cultural Relics Protection Law,protection has entered a new historical stage and achieved shining successes.It has also experienced some problems that warrant concern.
