An Historic Analysis of the Organic Coupling of China's Socialist Modernization and Marketization

The innovation offered by China's socialist market economic model lies not just in the combination of the basic institutions of socialism with the market economy,it also lies in the organic coupling of socialist modernization and the market economy. The coupling has been steadily achieved by the interaction of the two, and the main factor which has shaped this course of interactive evolution is the global scientific and technological revolution,which in turn has sparked conflicts and contradictions between the twin missions of China's modernization and the traditional planned economic system. Achieving the twin missions of modernization in the preliminary stage of socialism became the dominant aspect in this contradictory process. The global scientific and technological revolution imposed new developmental demands on China's advanced production forces, and this is the most profound source of the increasing organic coupling of China's socialist modernization and marketization. The two are organically integrated,so that our country has finally found a path to modernization suited to both China's national conditions and global developments.
