西汉末年陕西人口数量研究

关于西汉末年陕西人口数量 ,以往不少学者的估算普遍偏低。本文根据《汉书·地理志》所载各郡国户口数 ,主要利用“户口密度平均法”对弘农郡、武都郡、汉中郡、上郡、西河郡等兼跨今陕西与邻省之地的各郡户口数进行了仔细地分割 ,分别计算出各郡所辖今陕西之地的户口数。经估算 ,汉平帝元始二年 (公元 2年 )今陕西境内在籍人口共有90 2 780户 ,3597179口。本文还对当时未列入政府版籍的各种人口及数量做了进一步的探讨 ,对汉末陕西境内实际人口数作了估算 ,认为汉末陕西境内实际人口数约为 4 2 0万人 ,最少不低于 4 0 0万人

A Study of Population Scale in Last Years of the Western Han Dynasty in Shanxi Province

Population scale of Shaanxi Province in last years of the Western Han Dynasty has been estimated by many scholars before. This dissertation thinks these estimative figures are less than the actual one. The dissertation discusses and estimates the population scale according to the new method and many historical documents. It thinks that the actual population figure of Shaanxi Province in last years of the Western Han Dynasty was 4200 thousand, more than 4000 thousand at least.
