Abstract: | The author, a member of the Geography Department of Kursk Teachers' Institute, makes two points about the teaching of elementary-school geography in the Soviet Union: (1) The present topical approach should be replaced by a genuinely regional method; (2) physical geography should not be taught in isolation from human society, but as a condition for the development of society. |
