Abstract: | David Hooson, now at the University of California, Berkeley, has been, together with Ian M. Matley of Michigan State University, among the principal North American interpreters of Soviet methodological discussions in geography, including the controversy surrounding V. A. Anuchin. The present letter, in which Hooson corrects a quotation cited out of context and an error of translation in a Soviet journal, represents one of the few, modest attempts to achieve a dialogue between Soviet and American geographers. |
