Abstract: | The author criticies Western location theories, including those of Hoover, Ullrich, Dorpmund and Isard, on the ground that they fail to take account of the competitive aspect of what is called “monopoly capitalism.” In the author's view, even government interference is unable to insure “scientific” planning of industrial location, which is said to be possible only under Socialist conditions. |
