Eighteenth-century wheel-engraved glassware from Lisbon |
| |
Abstract: | AbstractGlass finds from Lisbon are discussed in the light of the Bohemian production of wheel-engraved glass in the 18th century. Archaeological parallels are quoted from Bohemia, the Netherlands, Canada and the USA, and intact specimens in museums in Portugal and the United Kingdom are also taken into consideration. Finally, the results of the first detailed chemical analysis of glassware excavated in Portugal are presented. |
