Interpretations of Several Motto Seals of Warring States Period

The motto seal is one kind of warring states’ seals and the important material to the research on the ideology of warring states period. Great importance has continuously been attached to it, yet some of the contents haven’t been well understood. This paper, with plenty of historical records and unearthed materials, deeply researches several seal mottoes similar to Huang-lao thought, and interprets the meanings and ideological implications.
