Turbulent flows,fires, and explosions |
| |
Abstract: | AbstractThis paper describes how our understanding of turbulence has grown out of engineering practice and how, in turn, it has modified that practice. This is illustrated by discussions of a number of important combustion phenomena embracing steam and gasoline engines, gas turbines, furnaces, jet fires, fire breathing, and atmospheric explosions. |
