摘    要:明代以来,江南的竹刻大抵不出嘉定、金陵二家,其盛行的区域未出吴地。及至清代雍乾以降,自新昌人潘西凤一出,浙中竹人始日渐增多。发展到道光朝以后,浙江地区的竹刻在艺术上不仅超越了传统竹刻重镇嘉定,也让新兴的吴中竹人群体相形见绌,成为清代后期文人竹刻的代表。

Abstract:Carving craftsmen of of Taizhou, represented by Fang Jie, always carved based on the embroidered portrait created by the commercial painter. Thus, their production had a rich living interesting of common people and realistic spirits. Besides Fang Jie, there are other two famous carving craftsmen: Chen Yuan and Wang Xun. Both of them followed the art style of Fang Jie.
