| Abstract: | This paper reviews the circumstances surround the 1961 national coal industry forum and assesses the historical significance of the investigation of the coal industry that Chen Yun undertook.It describes Chen Yun's important role in revealing and addressing the problems faced by the coal industry after the Great Leap Forward,and how,at the forum,he put forward eighteen topics to be thoroughly explored by it. |
