故宫博物院信息电子化四讲

Four Speeches on the Palace Museum' s Information Digitization

This essay consists of four speeches delivered in the past four years on the Palace Museum' s information digitalization. It displays from a special aspect the overall thinking and development course of the Palace Museum' s construction in this rising field of cultural museums. The first speech expounds the information digitalization' s strategic significance in the Palace Museum' s overall work and reform progress as well as principles of website construction. The second speech reviews the overall thinking and beginning tactics of the Palace Museum' s information digitalization and summarizes briefly the phase fruits of information digitalization' s basic construction. The third speech summarizes three distinctive features in the overall thinking of the Palace Museum' s information digitalization and points out the prospect of Digital Palace Museum. The fourth speech uses cultural relics flow management system as an example to expound again information digitalization' s significance in effective protection, rational use, strict management and staff s capacity building and points out that this work has entered an irreversible historical phase in the Palace Museum.
