顾绣源于上海，享誉全国，在中国古代艺术群葩中绽放奇彩，令古今名人逸士为之倾倒。然而顾绣却是中国占代工艺研究的一项空白，相关著述甚少，与其历史地位不相匹配。

On Shanghai Embroidery with Floral and Bird Design

Recently, Shanghai Museum holds a special exhibition on Shanghai Embroidery together with the Forbidden City Museum, Liaoning Provincial Museum, Nanjing Museum, Nantong Museum, and Suzhou Museum. They also organize an international workshop on Shanghai Embroidery to make a complete study on Shanghai Embroidery so that people will know more about it. Among items on display, there are lots of embroideries with floral and bird design （including bird, beast, fish, and insect）. This paper discusses embroidery works with this kind of subject with museum collections as example.
