Experiences in the Selection of "the Most Beautiful Villages in France"

As a highly-urbanized country,France has always attached importance to rural development in its national development.It has a long history in village conservation and development.The Association of the Most Beautiful Villages in France was established in 1982,and today it includes members from 156 villages across 21 regions and 69 provinces in France.Its vast village network stores and shares a large number of excellent practical experiences.Committed to preventing the villages from becoming soulless museums or,on the contrary.,"theme parks ",the Association dedicates itself to reconciling the villages’ traditions and future development,and restoring lives around the fountain or in the square shaded by hundred-year-old lime and plane trees.Being a good example in protecting villages from down to top,the Association is worth learning for China,which is in the initial stage of the village protection and development.
