界域建构中的困境及其反思——立足于近代华北区域史研究的考察

改革开放40年来的华北区域史研究取得了超越性发展，并以主题性研究和范围性研究为主导取向。这一取向产生了一个共同的问题，即区域史学理或学科建构上的困境，它使得“华北区域史”的学术追求最终湮没在以“华北”命名的各类主题性研究或范围性研究中，一定意义上影响和决定着未来华北区域史研究的进一步发展。一方面日趋泛化的“区域化取向”遮蔽了真正的区域史学术诉求；一方面又造成近代史研究走向“碎化”的境地。突破既往的主题性研究和范围性研究在区域史学理建构上的困境，是华北区域史研究能否成功再出发的关键。

Dilemmas in Constructing the Regions and Some Reflections:An Examination of Modern Regional History Studies on North China

Regional history studies on North China have witnessed great strides in the four decades of Reform and Opening up.Thematic studies and region-confined studies became the dominant approaches in the field. The two approaches,however,also gave rise to a common problem,i.e. the dilemmas in the theoretical or disciplinary development of regional history studies. Specifically,various thematic studies and region-confined studies cast a shadow on the progress of regional history studies on North China. The pervasive "region-confined" tendency discouraged genuine academic pursuits in the field of regional history studies on the one hand and led to the "fragmentation" of modern history studies. Whether regional history studies on North China will usher in its renaissance largely depends on whether researchers can overcome the theoretical dilemmas faced by thematic studies and region-confined studies dominant in the regional history study circle.
