Abstract: | This paper aims to present colour symbolism in Turkish and Azeri oral literature. The study compares Azeri and Caucasian oral literature and lists similarities to show that Azeri folklore is an important part of Caucasian folklore. Examples of colour symbolism in the oral literature of other Turkic nations are also included to provide a broader perspective of how the Turkic nations approach colour symbolism in their folk literature. |
