New Achievements in Archaeology of the Early Neolithic in Shandong

Nine Neolithic sites before 8000 years BP. have been found since late 1980's in the northern margin of the Luzhongnan (the middle and south ) mountains. House foundations, tombs,ash pits and kilns have been unearthed with large amount of pottery, stone, bone and shell artifacts and thus provided valuable materials for the studies of the origin of the Neolithic culture in the lower Yellow River valley.
