A Brilliant Stroke for Historical Science in the New China--On the Achievements of the Materials on Modern Chinese History Series

In the 1950s the Chinese History Society organized a group of top\|rate scholars to edit the \%Materials on Modern Chinese History Series\%.which issued 62 volumes under 10 areas over the next decade.Guided by a Marxist perspective,the compilers undertook a major scientific reorganization of historical materials from early modern China.The series provided the most fundamental and valuable materials collections for studying China's early modern history.It was a tremendous achievement with far\|reaching influence.
