Abstract:A new find of hair on a 13th century aurochs bone from Pultusk, Poland provides the first hair measurements from what is certainly a wild ox and supports previous suggestions regarding the hair of early domestic cattle. Two rare samples of British medieval cattle hair provided more measurements throwing light on coat changes since domestication.
