| Abstract: | A jade ornament with eagle and tiger was excavated in the Western Zhou tomb 6 at Liutaizi, Jiyang County, Shandong. The style of this jade is different to that of the other pieces from the same tomb. However, the style is quite similar to t hat of Longshan Shijiahe culture. By comparing the carving technique, form, pat tern as well as considering the cultural exch anges of the time, we can therefo re concluded this piece was of prehistoric, and was buried in the Western Zhou tomb. |
