20世纪的历史教训值得铭记,维护和发展和平友好的国际环境是人类共同的责任,当今日本社会对历史认知与和平友好的人数比例上存在着“人间大,两头小”的客观现状,这是由于日本人有缺陷的和平观,偏颇的历史观和教育的偏向性造成的,日本应向亚洲各受害国人民真诚地谢罪,勇敢地承担起战争的责任,中日两国应面向未来,以前瞻的态度处理中日关系,共同为亚洲的稳定与发展及世界的和平做出贡献。

Facing History Squarely Is a Crucial Issue in Developing Sino-Japanese Relations

Historical lessons should never be forgotten. To maintain and develop an international surrounding with peace and friendship is the responsibility of all the human beings. The objective reality in Japanese society concerning historical recognition and attitude toward peace and friendship is "small numbers at the two extremes and great majority in between," which is the result of the Japanese defective views of peace, biased views of history and partial education. Japan should sincerely apologize to the Asian countries for their offence in the war and bravely undertake their responsibility for the war crime. Both China and Japan should face future and handle their relations from long-term point of view, so that the two countries can make their contributions together for the Asian stability and development and world peace.
