| Abstract: | Based on collecting and analyzing firsthand material and documentations, the author presents the studies on spatial patterns and functions of empress dowager' s living areas in para-palaces of Qing Dynasty, such as Changchunyuan, Bishushanzhuang, Yuanmingyuan and Yiheyuan, and tries to explore the arhitectural characteristics of these important living spaces for imperial family. |
