The Relationship between Granducato di Toscana and France in the Modern Age

Granducato di Toscana was an important kingdom located on the middle of italy before its unification. Owing to it's strategic position, economic power and political value, Toscana played an extraordinary role in the experiences of italy and Europe. According to archives from Archivio di Stato di Firenze, during the Second Republic of France and the Second Emipire of France times, Granducato di Toscana paid close attention to France political situation and it's governments activities, adopted an active policy toward France.
