中日关系的课题与期待

中日邦交正常化以来的20年间,两国关系一直发展顺利,进入20世纪90年代以来,以“新历史教科书编委员”为中心的历史修正主义和历届首相参拜靖国神社问题成为中日友好关系的重大障碍,要破解这一障碍,笔者认为有必要同战败日本的状态,20世纪90年代至21世纪初的现状联系起来加以认识,为了东北亚的安全与和平,日本应改革单方面追随美国的外交政策;中韩日三国的市民运动也应联合起来,追求共同的安全,和平和经济的发展。

Problems in Sino-Japanese Relations and Some Anticipations

There had been a very smooth relationship between China and Japan during the two decades since the diplomatic normalization between the two countries. In 1990s, however, a huge barrier appeared in the friendly relations, which includes the historical revisionism headed by the "compiling committee of the new history textbooks" and the homage that all the previous prime ministers paid to the Yashukuni Jinjya. To remove this barrier, I think it is necessary to link the mentality of the defeated Japan with the reality in the 1990s and the beginning of the 21st century. A series of such barriers might bring tremendous threat to the peace and security in Northeast Asia. To prevent this from occurrence, I think Japan should give up its policy of following the U.S. unilaterally. And citizens in China, Korea and Japan should get united to pursue their common security, peace and economic development.
