新时期中国共产党宗教政策恢复拓展的历史条件

The Historical Conditions of the Restoration and Development of the Chinese Communist Party's Religious Policies in the New Period

Since 1978 the Party's second and third generations of leaders have paid a great deal of attention to religious issues,making them an important part of the Party's and government's work.They have addressed China's religious issues from the vantagepoint of overall world development.Research on religious issues in the new period has both enriched Marxist theory about religion and also deepened understanding of religion's social status and historical role,thus providing a firm theoretical basis for restoring and developing the Party's religious policies. Religion itself has experienced deepening secularization,which on the one hand may be an outcome of the Party's religious policies,and on the other hand has been an important factor in restoring and developing those policies.
