The influence of the Soviet Union on Mao Ze- dong's launching of the Great Leap Forward

This paper makes a preliminary discussion on the profound influence of the Soviet Union on Mao Ze-dong's launching of the Great Leap Forward.It assumes that the construction achievements of the Soviet Union made Mao assure that China's economy can develop at a high speed if China conscientiously learned from the Soviet Union;that he managed to find the Great Leap Forward developing strategy by drawing lessons from the Soviet model;that he,by criticizing the Soviet leader's number-one-party attitude and great-power chauvinism and by breaking the sacred place of the Soviet model,helped CPC and the Chinese people eliminate the feeling of national inferiority,inspired national enthusiasm and the Chinese people fully engaged into the Great Leap Forward movement.
