| Abstract: | In coordination with construction in the Three Gorges Reservoir area,archaeologists carried out surveys and excavations in the Baoshang cemetery within Wanzhou District,Chongqing City, in 2001.In the prospected area of 15,000 sq m they excavated approximately 2,000 sq m and revealed 11 Qin and Han period tombs,of which five belong to the Qin,two to the Western Han and four to the Eastern Han.The former two groups consist of rectangular earthen pits,while the latter one comprises brick-chambered graves with ... |
