倦勤斋保护工作阶段报告——通景画部分

中美合作故宫倦勤斋保护工作现正针对通景画部分采取保护措施。在保护试验和初步实施过程中,中外专家在通景画文物是否揭裱和如何揭裱等问题上,就保护原则、方法、材料等方面展开了多层次的沟通。本文就保护工艺总则与文物真实性.揭取试验和文物安全优先原则、裱褙工艺和保护做法的可逆性原则、全色做法与保护工作的可识别性等问题进行讨论。

Interim Report on the Conservation Work on the Quanqin Studio: The Panoramic Murals

The Sino-US cooperative work in restoring the Quanqin Studio in the Palace Museum has for the moment focused on adopting measures to preserve the panoramic murals that line the ceiling and walls of the studio. In the process of trial preservation and preliminary work, the Chinese and foreign specialists tackling a number of problems such as whether or not to remove the mounting and how to remove the mounting, had to examine the interconnected questions of preservation principles, methodologies and materials. The article discusses how the conservation technologies must give priority to the authenticity and integrity of the original murals when removing the mounting, and ensure that the mounting techniques and preservation methods are reversible so that the original works are preserved and that the original colours can be seen and interpreted (i.e. have readability).
