“三个面向”与方志文化建设

从发展面向现代化、面向世界、面向未来＂三个面向＂的本质要求和地方志工作现状及方志文化发展趋势看,需要地方志工作者做到三点：一是面向现代化需要确立高度的文化自觉。二是面向世界需要培养充分的文化自信,要体会到中国传统文化在世界文明舞台上的独特价值,应该强烈意识到地方志这种中国特有的传统文化形式在中国文化＂走出去＂中所发挥的作用。三是面向未来需要我们的事业不断自强,既要坚守传统文化底线,又不可因循守旧、抱残守缺,而应高度自觉审时度势,淡定自信与时俱进。

"The Three Facings"and Local Records Cultural Construction

Seen from essential requirements of development according to"The Three Facings",i.e.facing modernization,facing the world,and facing the future,the current status of local records work and the development trend of local records culture,local records workers will need to do the following three things:1.Facing modernization needs the establishment high level culture self-awareness.2.Facing the world needs the nurture of full cultural confidence.One should realize the unique value of Chinese traditional culture in the stage of world civilization,and be strongly conscious of the role played by local records as a unique Chinese traditional cultural form in the"going out"of Chinese culture.3.Facing the future needs the constant self-strengthening of our cause.Facing the future requires sticking to the bottom line of traditional culture, whereas at the same time not hanging on to the old and obsolete ways and clinging to bygone values.One should observe the times and assess the situation with high self-awareness,and advance with the times with ease and confidence.
