Edui Family and Xinjiang Politics of Qing Dynasty

Edui Family was one of the important political forces of Xinjiang in Qing Dynasty. This paper makes a research about the family through Xinjiang politics in Qing Dynasty. After analyzing the background which the family came over and pledged allegiance and its influence, the status for the family members to assume the office of Aqimu Boke and its influence upon Xinjiang political stability, the paper thinks that the family , as an important object for Qing to rule Xinjiang ,played some active role in keeping the borderland stability and the unification of the country.
