Abstract:Urban human settlements and urban resilience are closely related to the quality of life of residents and have become a hot topic in geographical research. In order to better explore the ability of urban human settlements to cope with shocks and build a sustainable human settlements, this paper introduces the principle of resilience into the human settlements and carries out a quantitative study on the resilience of urban human settlements for the first time. Based on the DPSIR model, an index system for evaluating the resilience of urban human settlements was established. Taking 2006, 2010, 2014 and 2018 as research time points, the spatial and temporal evolution characteristics and influencing factors of human settlements resilience of 26 cities in the Yangtze River Delta urban systems were analyzed by using entropy method, GIS spatial analysis method and geographical detector technology. The results show that:1) The resilience level of human settlements of the cities in the Yangtze River Delta urban systems has undergone significant ranking changes. 2) There are two spatial patterns of human settlements resilience in the Yangtze River Delta urban systems. The first is the overall change pattern with the Yangtze River, Qiantang River and coastal cities as the three axisbelts diminishing to the north and south; the second is a pattern of diminishing changes in the region with Shanghai as the main core and provincial capital as the secondary core. 3) Economic dynamics, energy pressure, and education level are the dominant factors affecting the resilience of urban human settlements.
