陈云同志是我国社会主义经济建设的开创者和奠基人之一。早在新中国成立之前,他就为稳定东北局势、恢复东北经济、支援解放战争作出了重要贡献。新中国成立以后,他又在国民经济的振兴、发展和调整中,特别是在百废待兴的关键时刻、在国民经济的大起大伏中、在改革开放和现代化建设的历史关头,充分地施展了卓越的智慧和才干,他也因此成为中国特色社会主义的主要创建者之一。

CHEN Yun is one of the pioneers and founders of socialist construction in China. As early as the years before the founding of New China he made a great contribution to stabilizing the situation in Northeast China, restoring economy there and supporting the China' s War of Liberation. After the founding of New China, he brought into full play his outstanding wisdom and abilities in the vitalization, development and readjustment of national economy, especially at the early days of New China when numerous tasks had to be undertaken, during the major ups and downs of national economy and at the historical juncture of reform, opening - up and modernization drive. And for this he also became one of the main creators of socialism with Chinese characteristics.
