| Abstract: | This paper mainly discusses the basic priciples of the study on the academic history of Chinese philology. More attention should be paid to the study of the first-hand literature of ancient time,to the study of period history, to grasping the main thread of academic evelopment,to appraising the ancient scolars objectively. Professor Wangning formerly had a thorough explanation of the principal ideas about Chinese philology. |
