Warwickshire Timber-Framed Houses: a Draft and a Contract

Abstract

Two 17th- to 18th-century documents are described, one a detailed contract and the other a plan and elevation drawing. They throw light on traditions of timber-framed building and in particular on the process of development and innovation in vernacular architecture.
