1939年秋-1940年夏国民党的南调命令及其影响——对皖南事变起源的新分析

The order of GMD for the N4A to go south across the Yangtze River and its influences from the autumn 1939 to the summer 1940--A new analysis of the origin of"New Fourth Army Incident"

It was in the early ti me of China's resistance war against Jap an when GMD developed and protected its interests in the Central China behind th e Japanese lines,especially in the base area of Dabie Mountains,that GMD issued the order for the No.4 detachment of N4A to go south across the Yangtze River.Bec ause of the nwe condition,GMD actually h ad no more than immediate and thorough c onsideration about the new policy and de ploy against CCP after losing the milita ry means of exterminating CCP in great f orce.Furthermore,since the new direction of the Communist International on May,C CP had taken the offensive strategy in t he central China,which made GMD seem to be more lacking of mental and politic pr eparations.Thus the order ultimately end ed up with nothing definite before the o bstructions inside and outside GMD.But a ll these did not mean that the order mad e no any influence on the history of the relationship between GMD and CCP.In the South Anhui,GMD and CCP both took new a ction according to the order,and from th en on the conflicts began to accumulate until the New Fourth Army Incident broke out.
