| Abstract: | The article is a survey of the Portuguese missionary Felix da Rocha' s coming to China and its capital as well as his activities and scientific work during his stay. He made special contribution to the scientific exchange between China and the West by involving in the daily work of the Qintianjian and the making of astrological equipments, and geodetic survey during the Qianlong reign. |
